Detailed Information
You can use these techniques for other things, other than Himawari’s candlestick
I am not a professional in this area, I just want to help
First step: A plan always helps us to know where to begin and what you’ll possibly need. As you can see, the only way to do this candlestick with a LED light is to have a hole in the middle. Why? So that the batteries and the switch can fit in it, basically.
Second Step: I only picked the materials needed for this part, later I’ll tell you what else is needed to make the candlestick and the respective candle.
Third Step: SORRY FOR NOT TAKING PHOTOS OF THE GLUING PROCESS ;_; I was so busy doing this, so as an apology I’ll give you the detailed process. So, you need to do it layer by layer and I mean literally. I don’t know if it’s better but I wet my newspaper first, just a little bit, then I would put it on the candlestick and in the end I would brush glue on it, if you know what I mean. If you noticed, the candlestick in the reference picture has two bigger hoops. Grab cardboard, do one circle and another inside that one, cut the bigger circle and the one inside it and glue it to one of the two ends. Do the same for the other part.
Fourth Step: You can buy the molding paste at any arts and crafts store. I prefer this one over FIMO since it doesn’t need to go in the oven. To dry it quickly, put it in a sunny place.
I think the beauty in this is that I spent so little money doing this. Less than 5 euros so far.
Second Part
Have fun and feedback please!
